Summer Farm Camp
a summer in the farm: learning, exploring and growing

Description
ALMA’s Summer Farm Camp is a weeklong place-based day camp where kids (K-5th grade) learn, explore, and grow together on the farm. Featuring hands-on, science-based and creative learning, Farm Camp is an extension of our Peas-In-A-Pod children's workshop series. Peas-In-A-Pod inspires a deep love for the outdoors and respect for the Earth as stewards of the land.
Our trained camp counselors will lead small pods of about 10 children. Kids will spend each day exploring our working urban farm through workshops in the following areas: farming, cooking, nature based art, story time, journaling, music, fitness, yoga and so much more!
Farm Camp follow's our 5 Peas-In-A-Pod pillars:
(1) Food and Nutrition
(2) Gardening and Plants as Medicine
(3) Composting and Environmental Stewardship
(4) Health and Physical Activity
(5) Music and Sounds of Nature
We invite children with special needs to participate as we partner with Full Spectrum Child Care to offer adaptive lessons and camp counselor training.
